Kate Wolf was married to Terry Fowler, a musician and computer programmer. The couple got married in 1975 and they remained together until Kate's untimely death in 1986 due to leukemia. They had two children together, Max and Hannah. Kate's marriage played an important role in her life, as Terry supported her musical career and accompanied her on many of her performances. After Kate's death, Terry established the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival in her honor, which has become a popular annual event in Northern California.
